World Empire Revision History

  • January 7, 2003: World Empire V version 5.0 30-Day Trial Version is released. 205 nations to conquer, fully configurable and a blast to play!


  • February 19, 2002: Version 4.91 Released. Necessary for some minor fixes: Player Names were not working in Local Mode. Attack arrows would stray at times. Changed the CyberWar Ranking process to submit after a player is defeated. A few other fixes. No more known bugs...

  • February 10, 2002: Version 4.9 Released. The world will never be the same! Completely revamped interface and program design. Added War On Terror mode which will only appear in version 4.9x.

  • January 7, 2002: Version 4.5 Released. Major update to WEIV. Several enhancements to CyberWar mode, and bug fixes! Added access control for game hosts, new option to disallow surrenders for Internet games, and more.

  • June 6, 2000: Version 4.01 Build 3 Released. The main change is to the Shareware Version which is now a fully functional 30-day Trial Version. Other changes include a new indicator of where a new player begins, and other convenience enhancements.

  • October 11, 1999: Build 22 Released. Minor fixes for Headquarters Line and the 'Select Browser' Window which wasn't locating browsers!

  • September 28, 1999: Build 21 Released. Added the Headquarters Line Window & Chat Room, which allows hosts and players to connect directly to the Server in order to start a game.

  • September 22, 1999: World Empire IV v4.0, Build 20 Released. Major update with all kinds of new stuff, the main thing being the additions of Airborne / Seaborne Invasion capablity.

  • June 12, 1996: World Empire IV v3.1 Released. First version to have Internet game play capability!


  • July 5, 1994: World Empire III For Windows Released.


  • December 18, 1992: World Empire II For Windows Released.


  • December 5, 1991: The First Version Of World Empire (For DOS) Released.
